RATIFICATION OF JAPANESE TREATY

The Treaty of Peace with Japan, signed at San Francisco on Sept.

8, 1951, was ratified by the United States Senate on Mar. 20, 1952.

For Resolution of Ratification, see Congressional Record, Vol. 98,

No. 46, Thursday, Mar. 20, 1952, p. 2634. According to Proc. No.

2974, eff. Apr. 29, 1952, 17 F.R. 3813, 66 Stat. c31, terminating

the national emergencies proclaimed on September 8, 1939, and May

27, 1941, and set out as a note preceding section 1 of the Appendix

to this title, such treaty came into force on Apr. 28, 1952.
