Seven; David Fisher

ONE: INTRODUCCIÓN

Siete pecados capitales.

Siete días.

Siete muertes.

Seven deadly sins.

Seven days.

Seven deaths.

A serial murderer who ends up playing with two policemen.

Two policemen and at the beginning of the film walking in a street full of sevens.

Seven, a number that in addition to the film holder, is very present throughout the film and the beginning of each of the figures that numbered portals that integrate the street: 748-753-757 ...

TWO: GÉNERO

Seven is classified as a police thriller, although it could be defined as a genuine work of art cinema of the 90s. And that, in the words of "critical", a phrase that could be drawn to define the full soul of this film. Because:

"Who would have suspected that a truculent and disturbing police investigation to discover a serial murderer would have a very striking resemblance to a work of art?"

Well, if any, as it has essential ingredients to make it so.

His characters are defined to perfection. The bad bad not only plays with the police after walking in his footsteps, but also plays with the expected, remained as confused as to those previously nominated. A bad that, despite appearing a few fleeting ten minutes for the entire film, manages to be present even without this provision.

The atmosphere recreated on the same topic makes you into the story to the fullest. Without being able to take off his eyes from the screen from beginning to end. And speaking of the final, saying it has one of the most impressive late in the history of cinema, the end of those who really let you truly impressed, with a twist that you wait for anything, at least that was my case.

It is a film that has marked an entire era and has left many sequels in its wake.

THREE: ARGUMENTO

Two detectives, and Somerset Hills (Freeman and Pitt) are following the trail of a serial murderer who is dedicated to exterminate those who take any of the 7 deadly sins as a way of life, indeed to each of them a death linked with the sin in question.

While the killings are going on, and the plot as it develops, we will be embroiled in a thicket where the deadly sins: the gluttony, lust, sloth, anger, envy, pride and greed share shares a hollow protagonists in the story.

SIX: SIETE DEMONIOS-SIETE PECADOS

The game's serial murderer that gives meaning to the argument for this movie. Two police officers followed the trail entering through the seven deadly sins on the dark side of the human mind. Through an applicant magnified follows the path of deadly sins guided in the "Divine Comedy." Unfolding in each of the deaths the demon that holds his sin. And that is ... Can the human suppressed by seven demons that haunt us continuously? Is it worth fighting them? No. Do not try to beat them. Better not to unleash the struggle that Lucifer (Soberbia), Asmodeus (Lust), Leviathan (Envy), Mammon (Greed), Belzebú (Gula), Satan (IRA) and Belphégor (Sloth) offer us. ¿Fighting our internal demons? No, better control them, live with them, leave them in huequecito a Pandora's box that we have in some hidden corner of our minds.

To forgive the dark when it teaches us as we forgive us when the light guide. And the darkness never shone so much. Sit on the couch. Attenuation lights ... Are you prepared to begin the journey? Yes? ... Press the button and play begins the journey to the human mind. A journey that I am sure will not leave indifferent any of the passengers.

We are placed in a nameless city (although with law, law that is a subject once after another under the acts of a serial murderer able to anticipate the movements of two policemen who followed the trail and that the viewer can theorizations speculate at all times), because she is not appointed at any one time throughout the film and only referred to it in terms like: this damn town!, here ...

They start the deaths, well thought out and based on the sin capital punishment. Images that suggest the murder as an expression of art. Crimes justified in the mind of a murderer because they are victims who extol its greatest exponent demons that house the deadly sins. And they are truly spectacular, finding them in the dark, intent, poetry and printing that the time for each of them requires, leaving it to be embodied in a character whose appearance does not go beyond the quarter-hour throughout the film, the real mind of a serial murderer.

The characters are integrated into their roles dramatically, giving their actions a hallucinatory conviction, however, and despite the great work done by actors who make up the film and as previously anticipated, history, image and action also charged prominence. The images guide us through the journey we have undertaken, darkness becomes the protagonist, it will dim the world so that the light shines more. We enter the darkness to see the light. We admire the shadows to get you to understand clearly. And this game it is based on light and darkness enhances the effect that Se7ven shocking poses.

The story is convincing, the argument exquisite, the music integrates seamlessly with the plot hooks us from beginning to end, we extracted from the real world to immerse ourselves in it momentarily. And, one might think that after all this, 10 granted to the film could be tarnished with an easy resolution, a final simplistic to resolve at a stroke all lived so far. But it is not. Proving once again that "Nothing is resolved until the last moment," since the meticulisad and wonder, Seven brings us closer to an end and something really surprising at all levels. Because it leads to an unexpected situation completely and gives us one of the best late any film history has provided.
